BRIeF…

In my final year at the TAFE Enmore Design Centre, my friend Ramona Bottiglione wanted me to animate her dragon which was rigged by Sieng Saphoan.

What worked?

This was my first time animating a DRAGON of all things. I knew I had to look at a lot of references on dragons and bats. Most of my references was from the ‘Game of Thrones‘ series. Even though it was my first time animating, I was happy with the results.

What didn’t worked?

What I was not able to get down however was the weight. There are some moments where it acts like a light weighted dragon when he flies in and when he lands. I wanted the dragon to be more heavier then how I animated it.

What to improve?

What I would improve on, is slowing down the animation more just so the weight would be more heavier. I would have also cleaned a few of the wings poses and add in some overlap.
